Sahara Hayes

Sahara Hayes is a Democrat running for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives.

Sahara Hayes has lived in her district for over 20 years and has a background in nonprofits and local government. When she was elected in 2022, Hayes became the youngest democrat and only openly LGBTQ+ member of the Utah legislature.

During her first term in office, Sahara stepped up as a prominent voice for LGBTQ+ rights, fighting back against anti-trans legislation and running bills to increase LGBTQ+ protections.
